The entire suite of HTML5 technologies has been touted as a Flash-killer, for good reason. In the same way, CSS3 by itself is a bit of a JavaScript-killer. Not in a bad way! All that nuisance JavaScript you had to write? All those things so common it drove you nuts there wasn't a simple, native attribute to wire them up? The things you had to mix in with your client-side application logic, even though they had nothing to do with it? You can do a lot of them with just CSS3.

CSS3 also provides huge savings in terms of the HTML needed for a page, but the interactivity it provides - in a way that keeps presentational logic isolated - is pretty darn handy. We'll dive into the cool new tools we have to control dynamic styling, clean up our JS, and save ourselves some coding.
